Foundry
Software supports efforts to prevent spam. Foundry
Software
works to prevent its customers from sending email through
MarketVolt™ to individuals who have not requested it or
who have asked not to receive it. Foundry Software reserves
the right to cancel MarketVolt™ services for any client
who violates this policy.
If
you answer “yes” to any of the following questions,
you may be sending spam:
1.
Have you purchased/rented a mailing list
from a third party and sent mailings to people on that
list?
2.
Have you acquired someone’s email address without
his/her permission and sent email to that address? Note:
Someone may give his/her address to an organization and
explicitly grant permission for that organization to share
the address with partner organizations. In such a case,
you may acquire that person’s address without his/her direct
knowledge, and may send email to that person.
3.
Are you sending email to anyone who has not agreed
to receive email from you?
4.
Are you sending email to anyone who explicitly
asked to be removed from your mailing list?
5.
Does your email fail to provide a link that allows
recipients to remove themselves from your mailing list?
6.
Are you sending email to a single-address
mailing list (i.e. list@mailinglistaddress.com)
that then redirects the email to multiple recipients? (Note:
In such a case, a recipient has no way to prevent receipt
of your mailings other than to unsubscribe from the third-party
mailing list through which you’re sending the email).
7.
Does the subject line of your email contain
false or misleading information?
8.
Have you falsified your originating address
or transmission path information?
Foundry
Software takes the following steps to prevent spam and enforce
this policy:
»
MarketVolt™ automatically sends an opt-in email
to addresses that are added to a mailing list via an online
sign-up page. The email asks the recipient to confirm his
or her addition to the list. This prevents recipients from
being signed up online without their knowledge and permission.
Recipients added to the list in this manner will not receive
a MarketVolt™ mailing unless and until they explicitly
opt in.
»
MarketVolt™ reserves the right to monitor its
clients’ list-building activities. If a client uploads a
large list, MarketVolt™ reserves the right to ask the client
for information about the source of that list. This helps
to prevent clients from uploading third-party mailing lists
that could violate this policy.
»
MarketVolt™ automatically inserts the client’s
email address as a reply-to address in every mailing.
»
Every email sent via MarketVolt™ contains
an unsubscribe link and information on how to report
abuses
of this policy.
»
MarketVolt™ may share tips, news, links
to outside resources and other information with its clients
to assist
them in understanding spam issues, complying with spam
prevention
standards and laws, and working within this policy.
»
The Terms and Conditions for MarketVolt™ Services
prohibit spam. In using the services, MarketVolt™ clients
agree that they are complying with the policy and understand
that their account will be terminated if they violate the
policy.
If
you have any questions regarding this policy or want to
report a violation of this policy, send an email to info@MarketVolt.com
Please
note that this policy may change. All changes will
be posted
on the MarketVolt™ web site.
